Welcome 2017! I hope New Year’s Day finds you well, at peace, and surrounded by love because you deserve all that is good. Know that as you venture into a brand new year, God cherishes you, desires a relationship with you, and loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your eternal salvation! What a wonderful thought to carry with you throughout 2017.
Despite the general consensus that 2016 was a horrible year, we had so many GREAT things happen for our family such as…
-Lydia, our baby girl #3 was born on 02/01!
-We did a huge 6-week renovation of our home which included enclosing our carport to build a family room and a full bath/laundry room & remodeling our kitchen!
-All of us settled in to being a family of 5!
-I restarted my Premier Designs Jewelry business!
-Ada turned 2!
-Aymen & Ada started going to Preschool at our church!
-Lee started taking night classes to finish his Bachelor’s Degree!
-We celebrated FIVE precious years of marriage!
-Aymen turned 4!
-I turned 30!
We finished out 2016 with a busy but wonderful Christmas & New Year’s Eve surrounded by family and friends. This past year wasn’t without stress, heartache, pain, and suffering though. We cried, fought, struggled, barely survived, and were disappointed more than once. However, we pressed on and pressed in to clinging to the HOPE and JOY and PEACE that God provides, coming together as a family and walking through whatever circumstances we found ourselves in. We experienced sick babies, defiant toddlers, relationship struggles, not enough time to get it all done, financial stress, and broken promises.
But through it all, we felt God’s LOVE surround us, pull us out of the pits, and strengthen us to get past the hardships. Most of all, we remembered that Christ Jesus made by humbling Himself and dying onthe cross to ensure our eternal existence. His grace & mercy flow freely and are extended to us and to you without question. Therefore, you don’t have to do anything to be worthy. You are His. He loves you & cherishes you. His forgiveness is there for you to accept. He is seeking you. You are worthy in His eyes.
So WELCOME to 2017! May you feel God’s presence every second of every day in 2017!
