Labor Day Holiday and 9 Months!

So, we’ve been really lazy in our house for the past week or so. My husband traveled to San Francisco last Monday for a work conference. Aymen & I enjoyed 5 days of PJ wearing, junk food eating, no house-cleaning girly fun!! Then, Thursday night around bedtime, we packed up the car, headed to the airport, picked up my beloved, and were off to the beach!

What a relaxing weekend we had! Lee had Friday AND Monday off so there was no rush to get home. The weather was perfect & we enjoyed some great quality time with my mother-in-law. Aymen had a blast splashing in the tidal pools & the ocean and of course, she loved the sand.

Here are just a few pictures from our long weekend…

Someone was excited to be at Walmart, and it wasn’t Mommy or Daddy!

Yummy, breakfast on the beach!

Enjoying the view from the pier!
Trying not to get blown away!

To top off our great weekend, our precious baby girl turned NINE MONTHS OLD! Wait, WHAT?!?! Seriously? Where has the time gone?!

I say this every month but it seems like we were JUST bringing her into the world. I can’t tell you how in love we are. She’s changed us so much in the past 9 months!! It’s amazing how much God can work in you when you’re focus is outside of yourself and on someone else.

Aymen Grace is so full of love & is such a sweet baby. She smiles at everyone, even strangers! She’s becoming a little clingy to Mommy right now but that could be from teething. She has 1 tooth in and 1 starting to poke through. She’s still scooting around on her stomach but she’s starting to get up on her hands & knees and rock back & forth. Full fledged crawling isn’t too far off! She’s learning Baby Sign Language and can sign “milk” and “all done.” We’re working on “more” and “eat” right now. She’s soaking up everything she can & learning new things every day and looking so stinkin’ cute in the process. Here’s a prime example:

Don’t you just love it?!
Okay, proud mommy post is over now! =)
