Quiet Time

How do you spend your quiet time with the Lord each day? In the past few weeks, I’ve branched out from the normal bible/book study and explored some different ways to spend time with God. Those ways included intentional prayer focused on sowing/reaping/harvesting during my daily gardening time, listening to sermons & singing worship songs with my daughter in the car, spending at least 15 minutes each night with my husband reading Scripture and praying over our marriage & family.

Most mornings, you’ll find me curled up on the couch with a hot cup of tea, a blanket, my Bible & journal, and some kind of short devotion. Some mornings, you’ll find me reading Scripture on my phone. And some mornings, you’ll find me sleeping in (hey, we all need to be rested & refreshed in order to fill our day with grace, mercy, and love!)

The point I’m trying to make is that your relationship with God and the time you spend with Him varies depending on your life, your circumstances, your schedule, your family, etc. Your quiet time will never look like my quiet time. Regardless of what it looks like, God will bless your efforts to seek a closer, more intimate relationship with Him.

But what if I only have 5 minutes?

5 minutes spent with our Lord is 5 minutes well spent, beloved.

Blessings,
Molly
