Intentional Living

Intentional Living

Intentional Living.

A small phrase that packs a not-so-small punch. Understanding the true meaning of this phrase as it applies to your life is the key to happiness, to fulfillment, to the kind of life you only dream of.

Aren’t you tired of wishing things were different? Isn’t your soul weary of just surviving and not thriving? Don’t you wish your life had more meaning?

I am. Mine is. I do.

Let’s take a journey together, shall we? A journey towards a happier, more meaningful existence that not only leaves us feeling truly full but an existence that touches the lives of those around us, leaving them with more peace & encouragement & love than they’ve ever had. An existence whose cup is so full, it’s spilling over and is filling up the cups of those we love & cherish and maybe, if things go according to His plan, those we’ve never even met.

That’s ultimately why we’re here, right? To fill up each other’s cups with radical love as Jesus has done. To bring others into a relationship with Christ as their Lord & Savior. To change the world as we know it.

“Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:2-5 ESV

But it starts inside each of us. It starts in our individual lives, in our families, in our homes. We must find whatever it is God has called us to do and we must be intentional about doing it as best we can. We must first become fulfilled as wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, homemakers, teachers, social workers, office managers, civil service employees, web developers, bloggers, writers, whatever we are called to do and whoever we are called to be. Then, we can be intentional towards speaking into the lives of others, radically & genuinely loving those around us, filling up their cups.

Are you ready to start your journey? A journey which consists of small, purpose-filled steps that will lead you to your desired result, your finish line.

Prayerfully consider what it is God has called you to do, who He has called you to be in this life then vow to do whatever it takes to get there. It’s not just about having a goal; it’s about taking the necessary steps that will lead you to the finish line.

Won’t you join me on this journey? Will you persevere with your intentional living to get your desired results?

Share in the comments below what your finish line is right now. Don’t worry about it being too big or too small.

Blessings,

Molly

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastnessAnd let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4 ESV
